Please form orderly queues of destruction in Warhammer: Storm of Vengeance next month

The Emperor himself would be embarrassed at the wealth of Warhammer-based games on the horizon: Slitherine’s Armageddon wargameHerocraft’s Space Wolf, and Rodeo’s mysterious and high-tech new project — to name but three.

So we can probably afford to be skeptical about Warhammer: Storm of Vengeance, which seems oddly orderly for a storm — especially a storm involving Space Marines and Orks. Despite millennia of bloody and horrific unrestrained antagonism, in Storm of Vengeance the two factions are happy to conduct their war in neat, orderly queues. It’s like a battle for a Tesco.

But hey, we’ve seen lane-based combat work in other games recently. And–encouragingly–unlike previous Eutechnyx offerings like NASCAR Manager, Storm of Vengeance won’t be a free-to-play game. The game is due out on iOS & Android on March 27th. Watch the trailer after the jump.

Hat-tip to Eurogamer.
